     The Calvary Baptist Church exists solely to promote the honor and glory of Christ by developing a people whose single purpose is to make the God of Scripture the burning passion and the crowning joy of their lives. To realize this purpose, we preach the “gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24). The gospel is that which God has given with the promise and certainty that it shall bring about His goal to raise up a people for His glory (Isaiah 55:9-10).

     This kind of ministry cuts cross-purpose to the “seeker friendly” mentality of most modern ministries with personality parades and programs aimed at generating excitement and happy feelings. We are, instead, interested to develop a people characterized by holiness and unwavering commitment to Biblical standards. We want to help the citizens of the kingdom of God to establish a sure foundation in doctrine that will enable them to experience real “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:15), even in the midst of trials and hardships (Acts 14:22).

We want to join with all whose heart burns with a like passion. It is our goal that the people of the Calvary Baptist Church be a “God-saturated people.”
